The Independent Publisher Book Award

In May, 2010, In Praise of Strong Women: A Psychiatrist’s Memoir won a silver medal in the Independent Publishers’ Book Awards.
It was awarded second prize in the  Best Regional Non-Fiction for his book.  The IPPY awards were designed to bring increased recognition to titles published by universities and independent authors and publishers, and is the first awards program open exclusively to independents.
